no stranger to Australia, having had a very distinguished NBL playing career. He
led the North Melbourne Giants to the 1989 NBL Championship and collected the
NBL MVP and Finals MVP along the way. He also helped lead the Perth Wildcats to
NBL titles in 1995 and 2000 and was named to the 1996 Australian Olympic team.
retiring from playing, Fisher made the move to coaching, taking the reins of the
Perth Wildcats between 2004 – 2008. He led them to the NBL finals in 4
returning to the USA, Fisher was added to the University of Hawaii staff. In
2010-11, the University of Hawaii boasted the 8th best defensive field goal
percentage in the nation out of 346 Division 1 colleges, restricting their
opponents to 38.9% from the floor. The team also improved from 10 wins in 2010
to 19 wins in 2011.
